As part of an urban renewal project, RMDG extensively remodeled a vacant and run-down warehouse building located in north Missoula into three urban condominiums. The location has very high visibility and serves as one of the main “visual gateway buildings” for vehicular and pedestrian traffic into the north-side neighborhood. Given this fact, its pre-rehab state of blight negatively impacted the neighborhood disproportionally to other run-down buildings in the immediate area. Prior to renovation, the building was vacant and a common hot-spot of illegal activity. The rehabilitation of this building had a disproportionally positive effect on the neighborhood and today the immediate surrounding area is home to a new brew-pub, residential condominiums, small offices and an increasing number of residental homes under rehabilitation.
