Mike Bouchee, Vice President

Mike Bouchee is a Vice President with Rocky Mountain Development Group.  Mike is a subsidized housing and tax credit acquisition specialist and project manager for RMDG.  Mike also serves as RMDG’s in-house legal counsel.

Mike holds a Bachelors degree in Business Finance from the University of Montana, attended law school at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), and received his Masters of Law degree (L.L.M.) in Tax at the New York University School of Law.

Mike’s recent projects include the acquisition and substantial rehabilitation of twin former Low Income Housing Preservation and Resident Homeownership Act (LIHPRHA) multifamily properties in Nebraska utilizing low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) equity and Freddie Mac loan proceeds, and the development of 115 new multifamily units in Missoula utilizing a mix of federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds, HUD-insured loan proceeds, and HUD replacement public housing funds in partnership with the Missoula Housing Authority.

Prior to joining RMDG, Mike practiced law in Missoula at Garlington, Lohn & Robinson in Missoula, where he specialized in business law, real estate transactions, financing and taxation, and estate planning. Prior to his practice in Missoula, Mike spent two years practicing in San Francisco at Nixon Peabody (formerly Lillick & Charles, one of the city’s oldest law firms), focusing primarily on corporate and transactional matters.

Mike currently serves on the board of directors for the charitable organization “Griz Kidz” which serves the financially disadvantaged children of Missoula, and recently served as board president for the Ronald McDonald House of Missoula. Mike also recently served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the University of Montana School Of Business.

When not in the office Mike likes to spend time with his family and take advantage of the many outdoor and cultural opportunities in Missoula and western Montana.
