Tyson O’Connell is an asset manager for Rocky Mountain Development Group. He is responsible for indentifying and implementing value-add opportunities, long-range operational forecasting and budgeting, investor relations and reporting, regional management oversight, capital improvements and resident services. Tyson is also involved in structuring new acquisitions and private equity sourcing.
Tyson holds a Bachelors degree with a double major in Economics and Sociology from Macalester College and received his Law degree with honors from the University of Montana School of Law.
Tyson’s blended background in economics, finance, sociology, real estate and employment law and construction management enable him to continually find value-adding opportunities within the asset management and resident services programs.
Prior to joining RMDG, Tyson practiced law at Garlington, Lohn & Robinson in Missoula, where his practice included real estate and property litigation, land use issues, construction litigation, and employment law.
Tyson currently serves on the Missoula United Way’s Development Committee. He has traveled extensively as an outdoor writer and photographer and has published articles and photography in numerous outdoor magazines, newspapers, and legal journals. When not in the office Tyson likes to spend time with his wife, fishing for steelhead and hunting for elk.
